Not a bad night sleep. Up and left at 7:30 after getting water at the church. Got to Moores Creek battlefield around 12:30 PM after 10 miles, had an older black man talk to me a while on the walk. He was very nice. It was very desolate today very little cell coverage , my legs were tired from yesterday. Took a two hour break at the battlefield. After leaving battlefield, a sign said take a right, but it was supposed to be a left turn. I emailed MST headquarters and told them about it. walked 5 1/2 miles to a grocery store only to find out it was closed and had been for over 10 years neighbor beside it gave me water I hiked another mile or so, and found a campsite near a swamp and field. I did over 18 miles today.

I arrived at 2:45 and went to the fire station and got water and use bathroom. They had a wall full of patches of each first responder around the world and nation. I told him I would try to send them one of Summerfield fire department. (I did in May) Walked through downtown went to a pizza place and ate. They cooked bacon and eggs and took me back to the trail where they picked me up. I started at 10 AM and walked 8 miles arriving at 3 o’clock. 90 miles in six days. Knees getting tighter as the day got longer. Glad for a short day on last day.

Looking back I would not carried that much food. New Hyperlite pack did good and poncho tent did fine, need mosquito netting. Knees really hurting after. Later, found out my right knee was out of alignment. Chiriopratic put it back inline but only after a couple months of hurting and hobbling around and trying different treatments.
